History

The Story of Dublin Farm: A Legacy of Agritourism and Hospitality

The Italian word agriturismo—a blend of agriculture and tourism—emerged in the 1950s, when small-scale farmers in Italy began welcoming guests to their land to supplement declining incomes. These rural retreats offered fresh garden produce and simple accommodations, but by the 1970s, many agriturismi had evolved into luxurious countryside escapes featuring elegant lodging, fine wines, and multi-course regional cuisine.

In the United States, agritourism has flourished as a way for travelers to reconnect with nature, food, and community. Dublin Farm, nestled in the heart of Central Georgia, offers a refined European take on the American vacation farm—where hospitality, culinary artistry, and rural charm come together.

Founded by Heinz and Maria, Dublin Farm began as a heartfelt endeavor: a place where guests could experience the warmth of European hospitality and the richness of international cuisine. Their vision came to life through Ristorante da Maria, where weekend dinners became a cherished tradition—multi-course menus crafted with fresh, local ingredients and served in an intimate, welcoming setting.

Today, that tradition lives on through Lynette and Moises Acosta, who have embraced the legacy of Dublin Farm with passion and purpose. With deep respect for its roots and a commitment to excellence, they continue to cultivate the farm’s spirit—preserving its essence while introducing new experiences that celebrate global flavors, seasonal ingredients, and the joy of gathering.

Guests are invited to enjoy refined international dining every Friday and Saturday, along with occasional all-inclusive culinary events that showcase the farm’s bounty and creative energy. Whether staying overnight or joining us for dinner, Dublin Farm offers a serene escape where every detail reflects care, tradition, and a warm invitation to “Come Home to the Country.”
